Personal Insights
“Armageddon 2025” is another one of The Asylum’s films, featuring characters from their other movies, in what could be termed as an ‘appreciation of self.’ The concept is good, the way it has been executed has been criticized with respect to the low quality of special effects and even lesser relevance of the monsters. This film sounds like it should be the perfect fit for fans of B-movies, with all its cliches in full display.
Cultural Significance
This film stands out as The Asylum’s trademark in the entertainment industry which has a low production cost, making it a cult classic. Including elements used in their previous movies, ‘2025 Armageddon’ also comments on the Asylum’s role in B-grade film culture and the fascination with monsters.
