Venom: The Last Dance

“Venom: The Last Dance” is an American superhero film directed by Kelly Marcel, who is also one of the film’s scribes alongside Tom Hardy. This film serves as the last chapter in the trilogy where Venom continues to center around Eddie Brock and his symbiote partner Venom.

Plot Overview:

Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom are now fugitives being chased by representatives of both worlds. As the hunter’s noose draws tighter around the remaining haven of the pair, they are faced with making a very tough choice to terminate the bond of the symbiotic couple finally.

Some adore the wily drama and its actors, others have words of discontent for its excessive linearity and its overall realization.

In the same vein, Roger Ebert’s review states: “it’s essentially an abduction thriller with no point”, which emphasizes the shallow nature of the narrative.

Box Office Performance:

Its reception did not stop “Venom: The Last Dance” from being a box office success. In November 2024, the figure peaked at $436 million and it is expected that it will continue to contribute towards the $1.8 billion already registered for the Venom trilogys decorum account.

Availability:

This motion picture is currently only available on Netflix as it was released in theaters on October 25, 2024.

Cultural Significance:

The interrelationship of Eddie Brock and Venom is taken further in this film, bringing the trilogy to a rousing conclusion. Knull is also introduced in the movie, as the creator of symbiotes and this potentially offers more stories in the spiders man’s universe of Sony.
